Is Allantoin safe for the glans area of the penis?

I have recently discovered that Allantoin purportedly has many benefits when it comes to cell regeneration and scar revision. Many sources claim that Allantoin supports cell turnover and repairs the surface of the skin.

I have a slightly atropic scar from a burn on the glans. Would it be safe to use Allantoin on the glans for this scar? Some sources have said that it would not be safe as Allantoin can cause dekeritanization and thus make the erosions deeper.

Thanks in advance!!!
