Is my boil healing or is there still a deeper infection I should be concerned about?

About two months ago, I found a boil on my skin. I made sure to keep it clean and after a few weeks it began to drain excessively on its own. About a week or so later, it came to a second head with more pus that also drained. However, the skin is still very red where the boil was, and it hasn't improved for several weeks. I have been applying several warm compresses daily, washing it with mild acne cleanser, and wiping it down with various items including witch hazel, rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, and apple cider vinegar. It doesn't look any different. The redness does decrease after I apply warm compresses, but always regains its color. There is no pain or itching, and it feels just like the rest of my skin, only red. Is this normal? Or should I be concerned of possible excess infection?

See your doctor. This is an HIV forum and symptoms aren't used to diagnose HIV anyway.

Yeah, sorry, I'm new on here, and I accidentally posted it to the wrong forum. I reported it as miscategroized since I can't delete it.
