Itching and now lump on foot

I'm 32 years old, always healthy and never have health problems.  4 days ago I woke up and my palms itched.  They itched off and on (more on) throughout the day, and eventually my feet and knees started itching too.  The next day my arms, elbows, legs, hairline around my neck, neck, ears, inside my ears, stomach and chest started to itch too.  Today is the fourth day of the itching, but now I have a big lump on the bottom of my foot.  It doesn't really hurt, but it feels like I am walking on a ball.

The itchy spots typically don't have any redness or bumps, however yesterday I started seeing light red splotches where it itched and on my arm I was seeing small welts as though I had a mosquito bite, although I know I don't have a bite because I watched my arms as the welts appeared.

Sometimes I take Benadryl and I think it only takes a slight edge of the itching, but not much.  I have not changed anything about my diet, no new detergents or soaps or anything.  Nothing has changed in this household since this started.

Any ideas??

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
This rash can be due to insect bites, allergies or hives. Hives (medically known as urticaria) are red, itchy, raised areas of skin that appear in varying shapes and sizes. They have a tendency to change size rapidly and to move around, disappearing in one place and reappearing in other places, often in a matter of hours.

Many cases of hives are "idiopathic," meaning no cause is known. Others may be triggered by viral infections or medications. Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin and apply some calamine lotion on the rash. If the symptoms persist then please get it examined from a dermatologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Go to an allergist. Consider various food intolerances or allergies. These are my symptoms when I ingest corn or corn derived ingredients. Hives, itchy palms, even angio edema swelling in my joints, lumps on my feet. I found this post while looking for a relief for a foot lump I currently have. I was also 32 when it began two years ago out of the blue. Be persistant, as a lot of doctors do not really understand these intolerances yet. Keep a food diary.

I realize the original poster may never see this, but hopefully it will help someone else.
