Itchy Red Rash on Inner Thighs and Genitials

Hi Doc,

Last year May I was diagnosed with herpes type 1 and chlamydia (via blood test). Doc gave me doxcycline and one more medicine that I cannot recall now. I had quite number of weird symptoms around the day I start medication until now. such as upper back pain when breathing, sensitive tongue, blisters on my genitals area, itchy rash on my neck multiple times

I went for another std checkup for syphilis, hiv, herpes type 2, gonorrhoea, chlamydia(urine test this time) recently, results came back all negative

I started tohave blisters on my genitals continuously for past few months, then blisters disappear and suddenly this rash started, which is very bad itchy red and burning feeling rash on my inner thighs ,expanded to my testicles and anus.I feel like burning sensation on my penis and testicles without any discharge as well. I did not have any risky sex exposures

During initial phase of rash I used elomet cream which suppress rash very effectively comparing other creams I tried, before it gets worsen, but never healed completely but maybe I did not use properly and continuously. After elomet cream finished my rash suddenly got worsen so much.

I went for check up, doctor said it looks very aggressive and look like fungus to him. So he gave a cream that has hydrocortisone and minocizile nitrate. also he gave 2 different medicine pill for itchiness and potassium permanganate solution to wash my affected area. I used few hours , it seems it does not heal and stop itchiness at all unlike elomet. Is my rash related to really fungus or some other virus? can please advice?thanks

I have uploaded pic of my affected area. I hope you will be able to access

Welcome to the Dermatology Expert Forum!

After reading about chronology and diversity of objective and subjective symptoms of yours and looking at the picture you posted, it seems to me that you might be experiencing psoriasis inversa and/or candidiasis (genital, inguinal and perianal redness, soreness, tenderness, itchiness), in addition to having recurrent HSV 1 infection (frequent blisters). There are other differential diagnoses to be taken into consideration too. In such a case of inconclusive clinical status, other diagnostic tools are necessary, such as biopsy, skin scrapings, skin culture, etc.

Wishing You Optimal Health,
