Itchy legs no rash

Please help me!!  I am suffering very badly from itchy legs.. I have NO RASH!! It usually triggered from when i take a shower, and when i get out its like the sky caves in..my legs itch soooo bad! I have to put bags of frozen foods all over them to numb them so i don't scratch the heck out of them! However, it has been gettgin worse, they have been itching more and more and without needing a shower to trigger it.. Sometimes its when i lay down to go to bed, or when i wake up in the morning. I try and take zertech, or some other antihestimine before showers or right when i wake up and this only helps some of the time.. I feel pain with the itching.. its like sharp poking with the itching and its all over both legs but like i said i have NO RASH! what could this be???

I read a comment for curing bilateral itchy legs a while back and it has totally worked for me and I want to share it!  Just like your post my legs started itching bilaterally all of a sudden and would really itch more after a shower and at night time when I was in bed.  It was driving me crazy!  I had no rashes or bumps but the scratching was leaving my legs bruised.  Then I read a comment on this website and all I had to do was exfoliate my legs in the shower a couple of times a week!  That's it!  You  have to get a rough loofah and REALLY scrub your legs hard.  It took about three weeks of doing this for the itchiness to completely go away but I'm still exfoliating my legs twice a week and my legs are no longer itchy and are extra smoothe!  I can't find the original post of the person who recommended this to thank them but they saved my sanity! I hope this helps you out too!
NO longer itching!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms the possibility of neurodermatitis needs to be ruled out. Neurodermatitis develops when nerve endings in the skin become irritated, triggering a severe itch-scratch-itch cycle. Common causes of nerve irritation include an insect bite and emotional stress. I suggest you to get an examination done from a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
