Jock Itch?

Do I have jock itch? I have been working out regularly and having protected sex with my girlfriend. Recently, I have had a rash appear on my pubic area. After searching my symptoms (itch, rash, dry flaky skin, red) I assumed that it was jock itch. I purchased some Clotrimazole and have been using that three times daily. The medicine helps with the itch but the rash is still there and it doesn't seem to be making any progress. I have been using the cream for about a week. I am currently studying abroad in Europe and am hesitant to go to the doctor because I don't know how it will work with my insurance. I have attached a photo of the rash and I hope that you might be able to give me some help. Thank you so much in advance!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to contact dermatitis or it can be due to fungal infection. What you need to do is consult a dermatologist and get a KOH examination of the skin scrapings and a biopsy of small skin sample done. KOH examination of the area will clarify whether it is due to fungal infection or not.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

I'm thinking this might be bacterial or viral.  I'd have it checked out so it doesn't become more serious.
