Keloid scarring, treatment/removal question

Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone had any hard facts about "Bioskincare". I can't seem to find any legit information from their website but the testimonials(if true) seem to be astounding when referring to keloids.
I had a mole on the back of my neck and I had it removed some number of years ago. Sadly, it developed into a keloid. After failed steroid injections I decided to have it surgically excised, which also proved to no avail as the keloid grew back(no larger) to it's original form. The keloid is about an inch and a half long to about 3/4 inch wide.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated because it is an embarrassing thing to have obviously.

Thank you,
Matt M.

In Jan. 2004 I had a large keloid removed from abdomen, went for the radiation treatment it lasted for about 6 months. Upon flaring up the DR tried lasers, cream etc. nothing helped. I recently had another abominal surgery Nov 08 . I am trying the radiation again only this time the DR says he'll watch me more closely since it failed last time. So far scar is 18' long slightly pink in some spots. I've got my fingers crossed. I'm hoping my daughter doesn't get my skin.
GOOD LUCK!

Hi Matt,

Keloids are extremely difficult to treat. Some keloids respond to topically applied silicone sheeting and steroid injections near the site. However, there is a risk of thinning of the skin with steroid injections.  Alternative therapies include: freezing and steroid injections; surgery plus radiation therapy; laser therapy and other injectable agents, such as interferon alpha and gamma.   Surgical removal of keloids may lead to the keloid coming back larger than it was before the excision.

It is difficult to comment on the authenticity of the website you mentioned. It would help if you can talk to someone who actually have experienced their services or if you contact their office.

Take care and regards.
