Lip Rash

Recently, I began getting these small rashes on my upper and lower lips, but I have not idea what it is.
I don't think it is herpes for I am a serious christian and have never been involved with anyone ( not even kissing).
It first appeared on the lower lip and started spreading across and then to the upper lip. I though it was my lip balm (blistex) so I got rid of it and got a new balm (plamers) but it's still there. It's about 2 weeks now. Please tell me what caused it and what I can do to get rid of it.

It been just over a year since this things on my lip first appeared. Sine then it has happened 3 times. My doctor said it have something to do with a lung infection and gave me and cream for dry skin to put on it but that did not help, the pharmacist gave me lip medex which sorta helps. My lips feel like they've got pores, then they get really dray and feels like sandpaper the they turn black and the healing process starts. It really bothers me, I feel like something is worng. Plz help.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,

Without examination, confirming a diagnosis is tough but it can be atopic dermatitis, perioral dermatitis or cheilitis. "Atopic" refers to a group of diseases where there is often an inherited tendency to develop other allergic conditions, such as asthma and hay fever). Cheilitis(Inflammation of the skin on and around the lips)is often seen in atopic dermatitis.

In perioral dermatitis there are usually small red bumps or pus bumps, and mild peeling. The cause of perioral dermatitis is unknown. But some dermatologists believe it is a form of rosacea or sunlight-worsened seborrheic dermatitis.

Oral antibiotics and topical corticosteroids are the mainstay of treatment.Pls consult a dermatologist as they are available on prescription.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.
