Molluscum!!!!

Hi Dr, I am 16 years of age. I have had on my left chest Molluscum for many years perhaps 5? At first I didn't see a Dr about it for a long time. However when i did, the first time he cut them off with a razor zapped them and put Betadine on. This made them disappear for perhaps 5 weeks? Then again they sprouted in same area. Went back to Dr. He cut them then froze them. However again later grew back. I tried eucalyptus oil as well as vinegar etc etc to try kill them off. But they wont disappear, any advice please?

Hey,
Well they appear on my chest and I am certain they are not sexually transmitted. I went to the Dr yesterday for the third time. They have been decreasing in size over last 2 visits. This time he cut the heads off, used betadine and iron/zapped them. Hopefully this will help them. Thanks

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL

Hello,
In adults, molluscum infections are often sexually transmitted and can transmit from one site to other skin sites by aoutoinocultaion. Treatment includes physical destruction or manual extrusion of the lesions, cryotherapy, and curettage. Just check out whether you are in repeated contact with someone having molluscum lesion or autoinoculating the lesion.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
