My Skin Problem

Ok for the past few months to a year i have been getting these red marks on my skin in the form of a cicrle. They resmble scabs and sometimes they may itch. When they go away they leave a dark mark that looks like a bruise except it doesn't hurt. 2-3 may occur at one time. I would like to know what these things are and if i should be worried??

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
These itchy circular red marks can be due to ringworm which is a fungal infection or nummular dermatitis. Nummular dermatitis is a sort of eczema and allergic reaction is an important cause and it presents as dry, red itchy patches which are circular in shape. But exact confirmation has to be done first. Steroids prescribed in nummular dermatitis can worsen the symptoms if it is ringworm.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
