My 2 yr old son has had a rash for a week that is not going away. We took him to the Dr, but they didn't really tell us what it was, just what it wasn't.
He has a ton of small red, slightly raised bumps. They range in size from a pencil eraser, down to half that size. Mostly on his stomach, chest, top of inner thighs, and armpit area. None on his whole backside, lower legs, hands or feet. Has popped up on face, but quickly went away.
They don't itch or seem to bother him. No accompaning fever.
No puss or any type of fluid inside.
They do blanch when pressed. When they start to fade they're flaky, similar to really dry skin. Most will fade, but not completely disappear, and new ones will pop up.
I haven't changed soaps, detergents, lotions, or diet.
He does have sensitive skin, and is allergic to Keflex/Cefalexin.
Have tried hydrocortizone cream, childrens benedryl, and special eczema lotions. Nothing affects it in any way. I've searched the internet and can not find anything that looks like this, or anything that would suggest what it could be a reaction to
