Numerous Scalp Sores and Flaky Skin.

Currently I have these spots on my scalp. They number around 15-20 and are about 1/2 the circumference of a pencil eraser, are dry and feel like a scab but don't hurt.
I began with one larger sore a few years ago, about four inches above my hairline on the back of my head. My GP thought it might be basal cell carcinoma. The rest of my scalp is comprised of dry, flaky skin that can be scraped off with my finger nails. I also have dry patches one each temple but no sores anywhere else on my body.

I have a similar problem, but my sores get inflamed and hurt at times. My hair does not fall out, in fact my hair looks and feels extremely healthy. I just have the sores that scab over, then get clear or bloody, then dry up and almost go away. I sometimes get the dry patches at the temples that you mentioned too. I have had this condition for many years and got little help from a my dermatologist back then. Now I have finally passed it to my husband. He got tired of it real fast and went to a dermatologist who put him on antibiotics for a month. They didn't help at all and he has a hectic schedule where he couldn't go back to try again. We are really tired of this and would love some helpful ideas on something to try. We've tried saltwater, vinegar, every medicated shampoo, topical antibiotics, DMSO, alcohol, peroxide solution, iodine, and Scalpicin. Nothing has worked.
