PLEVA... I have a question

My daughter has been diagnosed with PLEVA and was treated and responded to antibiotics....when she was 2 1/2. She just had an outbreak again, and she is 5.  

Has anyone else had this skin condition, have it go away then come back.

Finally, is there blood tests to determine the cause or at least get a base line of what it may be affecting systemically???

How is your daughter?  The acute form of pityriasis lichenoides is characterised by the abrupt eruption of small scaling papules that develop into blisters and crusted red-brown spots. This  is also known as pityriasis lichenoides et varioliformis acuta (PLEVA). The cause of pityriasis lichenoides is not yet known but 3 major theories exist: an inflammatory reaction triggered by infectious agents; a relatively benign form of T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder; or an immune-complex-mediated hypersensitivity vasculitis.
