MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Diabetes and thyroid disease can both cause whole body itching without any rash. You are taking antihyperglycemics and thyroid drugs and you should get evaluated for levels of thyroid and blood sugar regularly. You can apply an anti-itch cream or lotion to the affected area. Oral antihistamine, such as Benadryl can also be used. You should take a comfortably cool bath and wear smooth-textured cotton clothing. Covering the affected area with bandages and dressings can help protect the skin and prevent scratching. You should choose mild soaps without dyes or perfumes and use a mild, unscented laundry detergent when washing clothes, towels and bedding.

Please take a second opinion from a dermatologist if the symptoms persist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Thankyou so much for your advice and for you to take interest in my condition. This happens only when I am outside in cold wind or when I come out of shower and my body starts getting cold.I have no problem in hot water and warm conditions, so its mostly in cold weather.I am cosulting my GP also and he thinks that my blood vessels open up with the change of temperatures and because of being on so many medications it can happen. So I guess I will hve to bear it till some one finds a cure for this condition of mine but I'm really thankful to you for being concerned and writing back to me.With kind regards.
