Penis Opening/Urethra Red/Bleeding (Accutane Symptoms?)

I am on my 41st day on Accutane and doing 60mg a day recently started getting pains at the tip of my penis (opening) few weeks back.  I am not sexually active but did come close few weeks back but did not go in. The tip looks bloody/red and it hurts when I walk and it hits/touches my boxers/pants. Also when I urinate, it seems to block the flow for a second then it opens up when it cannot handle the force. Please let me know if you know what this is as I am very concerned. I can provide you any information if you need. I am not sure if I am in the right forum as well but please do help. Thank

IM HAVING THE EXACT SAME THING!
I have been taking accuTANE for 2 months now and I am seeing such a huge difference...a few nights ago, I noticed my Penis hole was red and sensitive to the inside of my underwear. At first, I thought what every teen boy would think - that it is due to masterbation - now that I know that people are seeing the same side affect, I feel so much better.
Should I tell my dermatologist? I'm worried she will take me off of it, and I feel so great with the progress so far... what are the long term penal affects? I don't understand why the wouldn't call this a normal side effect since we are all seeing the same thing. thanks

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Pain at tip of penis can be due to prostatitis or a thrombosis (clot) of a penile lymphatic vessel. Sometimes during sexual activity, the lymphatics get bruised resulting in subsequent clot formation. This can cause pain at the base of penis. Prostatitis is an inflammation of the prostate gland. It can be due to chronic prostatitis without infection in your case.

I would suggest a urologist’s evaluation to confirm the diagnosis.color Doppler of the genitalia and examination of prostatic secretions may be done.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
