Please help me with Hyperpigmentation problems.

Good day, I have spent lots of money on chemical peels, antibacterial medications, microderm, skin whitening, dermatology appointments and no help.

I was told I have sun damage, Hyperpigmentation, and now acme. I provided images of my forehead. Aside from the sun damage where my hair line recedes, I have very bad discoloration.

If someone can please help me figure out what is truly wrong and importantly, how to combat this would be most appreciative.

I am embarrassed to take my hat off in public; people look at my forehead rather than me. I have tried many things to correct this and I cannot continue to spend on online products and the above with little results.

Thank you

Thank you very much D. Kaur and to starsinthestate. I have tried Chemical Peels and Microdermabrasion. From what was told to me, both do not go deep into the skin.

I am thinking about laser treatment and especially the costs involved. I am still trying Hydroquinone at 3% along with something I picked up online. I am using a toothbrush to apply it with. However I am not whitening the area in the image. I cannot take changes that it will get worst. I am applying coco-butter maybe Ill try tretinoin and corticosteriods and axelaic acid.

Take care

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
This is due to hyperpigmentation which is darkening that occurs when an excess of melanin, the brown pigment that produces normal skin color, forms deposits in the skin.

Treatment involves hydroquinone, azelaic acid, corticosteroids, tretinoin cream and laser treatment. Please discuss these options with your dermatologist before using them. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Hi, chosenbkr

If you have sun damage i would suggest wearing sunscreen on your scalp, otherwise all the money you spend on products goes to waste as most of them react badly in the sun which after time induces hyperpigmentation of the skin. I would suggest trying to correct the problem internally first and maintaining it externally. Try Vitamin c and msm these are known to help correct skin problems, and if taken with a healthy diet and decent intake of water(2-4 litres a day to regulate vitamin c) you are likely to see visible result with two weeks. Also take a look at any hair or skin products your using usally buying natual products with less than 15 ingridients are generally less harmful on irritated skin. Just remember to use suncreen, i have dark skin and prefer to use biz buin or banana boat sunscreen spf 30 or higher.

Good luck.
