Prednisone/Antibiotics for Molluscum+Eczema?

I've been battling molluscum and have nasty eczema and a bit of a secondary infection from picking the bumps. Dr. prescribed me prednisone and ciproflox. I'm sooo itchy all over but i don't want to take prednisone if it's going to make the molluscum worse. Is the prednisone a bad idea?

My son had Molluscum for over a year. We tried aldara, zymaderm, we even had some burned off with acid and nothing worked.

I  went to a new doc and she told me about Molluscumrx. A product she said she has used for a couple years.

Within a few days the lesions began to respond( they got a dark red), within 3 weeks they were totally gone. I wish I had known about this stuff before. It would have saved my son a lot of misery.

I hope this info helps others.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there,
People on steroids are more prone for Molluscum.Whether taking steroids will flare up your molluscum can be confirmed only by your treating dermatologist. It is best to consult your dermatologist and have a frank discussion. You may discuss if taking antiallergics and topical steroids may be helpful for your eczema. Do keep us posted on your health. I sincerely hope it helps.
Take care and regards!
