Does anyone know about anal comedones? I recently went to a clinic to get help with a yeast infection (gyno was closed and the weekend was coming up) While the "Dr" was down there to confirm it was yeast she said that I had what looked like suspicious genital warts around my rectum area. Ok, this freaked me out. I had noticed these bumps before but I never thought anything of them actually. It wasen't until she said GW that I started looking all over the internet and reading about GW and HPV. Needless to say I'm scared! I have 3 kids, all 2 years apart my last was in March all my paps have come back normal. (Just had to throw that in there) Ok anyway I was looking at all the pictures of GW that I could find online and NONE of them look like what I have. I keep trying to find more info on this but am coming up empty handed, its like this is the only picture of this out there. Does anyone know anything about this. I have an app. with GYNO next week just wanting some advice. I have so much going on in my life right now this is just adding to my stress level.

I had a chronic sore near my anus, exploratory surgery proved it to be an anal fistula. Subsequent surgery removed the affected gland and a flap was pulled down to cover the area and expedite healing...no more issues.

Hello,
For these bumps, apply warm compresses some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful.

If the symptoms persist then get an evaluation done from a dermatologist.

I went to my GYNO and he told me that my self diagnosis was right. It is prominent sebaceous glands. We were able to squeeze a little bit of hard white stuff out of a couple but it kinda hurt and he told me that it's nothing to worry about and that it's just blocked glands kind of like white heads or black heads. They do not cause me any problems so I'm guessing I will just leave them alone? I could perhaps go to a derm. but if it isn't a prob I do not see the reason to go. What is your suggestions?

It can be prominent sebaceous glands but from the symptoms that you have described, HPV warts should be ruled out. Warts are tumours or growths of the skin caused by infection with Human Papillomavirus (HPV).They are contagious when in contact with the skin of an infected person. An examination and a biopsy skin can confirm the diagnosis.

I suggest you to consult a dermatologist to find out the confirmatory diagnosis as treatment depends on the same.
