Pulling out eyelashes

I am 15 and i have been pulling out my eyelashes for the past two years. I have at the moment got a patch on both upper and lower lids with no eyelashes. Everytime i tell myself that i am not going to do it and i end up pulling them all out. It mainly happenes in exams and when my parents are fighting. What can i do to make them grow back really quick because this is so upsetting. I hate looking at my reflection becausei am missing lashes. I try to stop so hard but i am never able to. Are there any tablets or any thing that i can take that will help me stop. Thank you. HELP ME

I too have dealt with this infliction for a number of years.  Always when I am anxious.  I completely understand the embarrassment - I would have many bare spots on my lids.  It takes a very conscious effort to stop and/or medicine and/or therapy.  I have had all.  When I get that urge, I ALWAYS look for something to do with my hands.  I wish you lots of luck.

Hi Sophia,

The major problem that you have is not that you need to grow your eyelashes, but that there are situations in which you are exhibiting an obsessive/ compulsive behaviour. This seems to happen whenever there is a stressful situation. You need to consult a Psychiatrist at the earliest, or at least cosult your school Psychologist. Medications and counselling will help you to tackle the situations.

Hope this helps.

Regards
