Question for Arti Sharma: Penis Irritation

Hello Dr. Arti or anyone else that may be able to help,

I've been having on and off penis irritation for over one month now. Quick synopsis of my experiences and symptoms:

I received a hand job from a sex worker at a massage parlor on Day 1. On Day 9 the irritation started. Minor redness around my penis opening and the majority of my penis head. Slight burning sensation and very irritated when rubbing against fabric (underwear/sheets). Also some pressure on the penis when laying on my stomach.

After two weeks the irritation dissapeared for one week and then reappeared with a slightly less irritating pain but still very concerning.

Other symptoms that are not of dermatological nature include a 36 hour fever on day 12 and constant (30 days now) muscle weakness from lower back to toes with tingling from my calfs to my toes.

My fear is genital herpes but without the blisters. Can irritation without a noticible rash or blister be evidence of genital herpes?

Very concerned...

Thank you

One problem I have encountered in this area is:  1.  The GP ignores you when you describe the problem. 2.   The Dermatologist does not want to look at it and the Urologist says it is dermatitis.  The net result is no help from anyone.
All I can suggest is wash regularity, try to get an antibiotic prescription from you GP and hope it goes away.

Any input Dr. Arti?

No pain while urinating so no blisters in the urethra. No UTI either, that was the first test done. Anything I put on my genital skin doesn't seem to help the irritation and in some cases irritates it even more. Thanks Caryopteris.

It doesn't sound like herpes, although apparently it is possible to have blisters down inside the urethra.  If the skin is still irritated, you may want to try clear 100% aloe vera externally.  You should probably get checked for a urinary tract infection.
