Question

A previous partner of mine had genital herpes.  I did suspect that I might have caught it as I had and still do have occasional mild symptoms not on the genitals themselves but around the areas and experience what feels like a tingling sensation/prodrome and pains in the legs and twinges etc.  However, I was tested, including a serology test and all my tests came back negative.  I have now split from my partner. I am unsure of whether to and how to broach the subject with a new partner.
I want to be open and do what's in the best interests for myself and any new partner. Has any one got any responsible and positive suggestions?

Tingling is not a sign of herpes, though it may be a sign of worrying about herpes.  if you've had a negative herpes 2 test and your doctor feels it was taken long enough after your last contact with your former partner to be reliable, then I don't think you have anything to broach.

Best.
