Red circles on arm that doesn't itch

My boyfriend has red circles that are various sizes in one large area on his inner arms.  Most are smaller but some are the size of a pencil eraser. Some are flat, some more raised. They do not itch at all, but appear to be dry.  Sometimes they go away or even lighten in color.  He just started getting them in the last few weeks.  We haven't found any pictures or descriptions of symptoms that sound similar to this.

My boyfriend has the EXACT same thing but only on his out arm- not the inside it. He has been having this on and off ....we know it is not ring worm- as I would have gotten it by now as that is highly contagious...and not lyme disease and not excema...We will hopefully go to a doc soon...if u go before us- please let us know what they say and we will do the same...

Thanks!
