Red dots Everywhere

I have these kinda dots since 2 years now, I also have other symptoms.

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_oKzzqYvQ1Bg/RgnKP16uynI/AAAAAAAAACY/BBXPWPW7sVU/s320/300px-Minor_Petechia.jpg

I have many of them everywhere and some areas have lost pigment around them (0.5cm = are of pigment loss)

They are not in clusters just a a lot of single ones. There are two near each other on my left wrist, near the veins and one on my right wrist also near the veins. Besides that they are just everywhere: arms, legs, belly, chest, neck but not in my face.

Other sometimes I have are itchyness, throat problems must mucus and chronic blocked/runny nose, very easily numb when sitting in certain position (leaning on elbow makes my hand numb very fast, butt same, legs etc). Burning sensation in stomach and bowel. Not anymore but I had soft/wet poop for almost a year. Sunlights hurt more than ever. I have haemorrhoids now. Wounds seem to heal slower. I have shooting pain sometimes from lymph node areas, the lymph nodes themselves do not hurt when I press on them etc. Symptoms worse at night.

I feel this all started after coming back home from holiday in Thailand. My blood counts were normal WBC etc, tested negative for STDs, CMV, EBV = not active, normal thyroid levels. Been to INT disease Dr, ENT dr. and got endoscope in my stomache.

What do you think of this and what would you think about the red dots if you ignore all other symptoms?

Hi,

I checked them and they havent grown to cherry angioma. I googled it. I have these spots for two years now but they are in the skin or extremely little above. Not like cherry angioma.

Thanks.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.

I can understand your concern for the red dots on upper part of the body and the various other symptoms that you are having.

I have checked the photograph and from the photograph it looks like a cherry angioma rather than petechiael spots. These are basically skin growths which are red papules on skin containing an abnormal proliferation of blood vessels. They are made up of clusters of capillaries at the surface of the skin, forming a small round dome ("papule"), which may be flat topped and may be red or purple in color. Initially they may be very small like only a tenth of a millimeter in diameter and almost flat, appearing as small red dots but grow to about one or two millimeters across.
They are harmless but if you find them cosmetically unpleasant then you may get them removed. Common procedures for removing cherry angiomas are cryosurgery, electrocauteriation, laser surgery and shave excision.

On the other hand, petechiael spots are red or purple spot on the skin, caused by a minor hemorrhage but they usually appear in clusters rather than single spots and moreover they do not persist for so long. However considering your symptoms of itching, small petechiae type rash and delayed wound healing, your liver functions should be evaluated by getting your liver function tests done.

Since you are having numbing sensation in the limbs, parasthesia also should be ruled out. It is due to dysfunctioning of neurons. It can be due to diabetes, hypothyroidism, peripheral vascular disease, vitamin B12 deficiency or malnutrition.

Get your vitamin B 12 levels and blood sugar levels checked along with your liver function tests. Also consult a dermatologist as a biopsy of the skin rash may be needed to rule out the possibility of cherry angioma.
Hope that this information helps and hope that you get better soon.

Wishing you good health.

Also my blood test are over a year old now and the itchy ness has gotten worse since. Also since a week I have been eating healthier, almost no sugar, and somehow the itchyness seems getting worse.

Also I am white male from Europe, 60kg, almost 179cm/180cm and 21 years old. I never had problems before.
