Red dry spot scrotum skin

Dear doctor,

It is about 7-8 months ago. upper left side of my scrotum skin became dry. the collor is just red. it's a circle. It seems like a layer of the skin is removed. When I use a lotion then it doesn't dry or itch but it is still very red. Once I do not use a cream for a day (the cream is Nivea) it becomes flaky after a day and it itches a little bit...

Now I have that in 2 other places in my scrotum skin. Those circles are just very small. But I am afraid that they will become like the first one.

I have posted a picture of the first big circle under this link

I am not sure but it looks like it's getting bigger.

What can that be? I used anti fungal cream for 3 weeks and 2 times a day but it did not help getting my normal skin on there.

I also showed it to a doctor but he did not have any comment on that and said try the anti fungas cream.

I have also have a simmilar one just under my penis on the scrotum, but this one is just changed in collor and never become flakey or itch. And that is showen on the picture under the following link

Please advice. Eczema?

Many thanks in advance for your care and help.

Regards,

Don.

It seems that you pay 15 dollars only for one question and no discussion is possible. I just have no comments on my further questions

I also have wounds between my right upper leg and my scrotum. Also there are some wounds between buttocks which can extremely itch. Can that also be the eczema or psoriasis.

I got Elocon cream. should I use it on there? Or it can be irritation and because of itching I have small wounds which are burning me and itching sometimes?

Dear doctor,

Thanks for your answer im just back from THE dematologist. Hè examinate by look and touch and said it might be eczema or psoriasis. There was no biopsy made which i found very strange. Hè gave me à Cream And i had to use it for 2-3 weeks an then i have to come back again to see how it works.

Is that THE right procedure in your openion?

Can THE redness be normal skin after treatment of any of THE diseases you mentioned?

Do i have to be worry? Does it spread?

Dear Don,

Welcome to the Dermatology Expert Forum, and thank you for your question!

Persistent, red, itchy, partially scaly scrotal patches, non-reactive on anti-fungal cream point towards several skin diseases including psoriasis, lichen planus and eczema. Your dermatologist will evaluate your condition clinically, and, most likely, perform biopsy to establish final diagnosis.

Just for your information, the first line of treatment in all three disorders named above (when localized) is a short-term topical therapy with corticosteroid preparations.
