Red lumps on skin that break and do not heal for aproximately 3 weeks

I was hoping for some advice.  I intermittently get red lumps, approximately 1/2 cm, that the tops come off (without bleeding).  Often there is a clear white liquid that comes out of this lump when it has opened (often with accidental scratching). Once it has opened there is a small 'crater' like wound.  My only comparison is that it seems to cat like a blister (although without the appearance).  Once opened the wound forms a scab, but will not heal fully, often maintaining opening up again into a circular wound that will not heal.  I have had these appere on various parts of my body for two years and would appreciate any advice as to what these could be.

Hi Life360,

I googled the signs, symptoms and images of a staph infection and it does not seem to be what i have. Although it takes a while to heal it does not progress, and as I have had the intermittently for so long It seems unlikely that I would have had multiple cases without it developing.  A friend of mine suggested bites, but I'm not sure if this is right either as surly a bite wouldn't take so long to heal.

I really appreciated your input,

MT

Hi and welcome, you really should have a doc see you. You really need to rule out if it is a staph infection first.
best of luck
