Excess Sebum

My friend has been dealing with this horrific condition that is on her scalp, back, legs and face.  They started as red bumps but then get a head on them.  When she squeezes them, a ton, and I mean a ton, of white, thick, crisco looking oil comes out.   This has been going on for years and she has seen many dermatologists but no one has been able to diagnose her with anything or give her a med or cream that helps.  She says that under the oil are hard bumps that have to come out.  I have seen what this stuff looks like and it looked just like crisco.  She thinks it may be from post traumatic stress from living with a psychotic husband for 20 years.  (He is dead now).  I feel so sorry for her because it seems as if this oil will not quit.  Something is causing her sebaceous glands to over work but none of the doctors seem to know what to do.  The stuff that comes out look a lot like the stuff the Dr. Pimple Popper gets out of her patients.  Unfortunately, we live clear across the country from California and have no access to help like that.  Does anyone have any idea of what this is or what could be causing it?  Thanks.
