Scrotum irritation

Hey,
Not sure what to think. Just below the base on my penis on my Scrotum I noticed a small pimple like bump.  Well of course I picked it.  tried to pop it, Nothing but blood and a little clear pus.  Then I stabbed it with a sterile needle.  Now it is twice as big,red and white in the center.  And it hurts when you touch it.  There are no other visual issues.  and no urinary issues.  I have been sexually active.  also I did shave my balls about a week or so prior to this occurance.  Whats the deal here.  Now im putting Neosopin on it,  and trying to put my mind at ease here.  Anyone have an answer for me.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be an infected hair follicle or boil. Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
