Gel-like blister

Alright, so I went to the dermatologist last Wednesday. They told me to come back in a week. The bigger red stop is most likely an infection and I'm putting ointment on it.

Anyway, the big pimple-like thing started growing now. I have no clue what it is, and do NOT want to pop it. Does anyone have a clue what it is?

More like a Bullous impetigo, or a fixed drug eruption.

Good idea! Sounds like it's probably caused by infection then.

Well, the area that the 'thing' formed was on the pad part of the bandaid, not the sticky part. Plus, I have used these same bandages before elsewhere with no problem. The ointment also was used in several other places on my hand.

My pediatrician prescribed some antibiotics before I visited the Derm. She said if the ointment doesn't help, start taking the antibiotic. I may start them tomorrow.

I'm highly allergic to the glue used in bandaids...They cause burn like blisters whereever they touch me...just some food for thought.

I once overdosed when I was trying to quit smoking...I tried using the patch. This was when I learned I was allergic to the glues used in bandaids, patches, etc.
Turns out that because I was allergic to the adhesive, the nicotine was able to enter into me quicker.

You could try putting a bandaid elsewhere on your body ( like a finger ) and see if the same type of reaction occurs.
If not, it could be the ointment that you used.

That's what I initially thought. But, it seems weird that it came up right next to an infected area. Also, the area was covered with a bandage.

I can't get to a derm until Tuesday. That's why I posted here.

It could be a blister caused by an allergic reaction.

I would see a doctor to make sure it isn't something more serious.
