Skin Discoloration Issue

I had molluscum removed by laser- just one spot-it healed over rather quickly.  I used antibiotic cream for two weeks.  Now two months later there remains a red dot-about the size of a pencil eraser.  What can I do to spead the healing of this spot.  Would a skin lightening cream help.

Any help on this one-  as son as I think they are gone I get some spot and think it is back.  I start thinking is it just a zit.  Shold I freeze it so I don't spread it- Dirving me nuts.  I have what looks like a zit on my neck but can't tell, then I feel a bump on my chin, but can't tell if it is a pimple or something worse.  I put 10% benzol peroxide acne cream on it as it would get rid of zits and there is a study saying that it helped get rid of molluscum in 4-6 weeks.  So, how can I tell what is going on.

Ok, I went to a dermatologist and he looked at spots on my forehead, which had been a long time and he said they were cyst- clooged glands and not to worry.  I should him spots on my chest and he said acne and gave me some stuff, btu no worries.  However, a few are still there more than a month later.  So I am still concerned-  How can a lay person tell the difference?  I am just tired of thinking that any skin blemish is this virus and I am being taken over.

Hello,
Molluscum contagious is a viral disease and is highly transmissible. Just check out if you are in contact with anyone who has molluscum contagiosum and is giving you continuous infection. It can also be transmitted by autoinoculation which means that it can get transmitted from one body part to another just by touch even when it is in healing stage and some amount of virus is still left.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. Treatment can be started only when the diagnosis is confirmed. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Follow up-The spot healed and kept getting lighter so no issue there.  But, just about six months later I notice a spot and thought I shoudl get it checked out.  the Docotr said it was the same and some other little ones-  The other ones I thought were irritation due to placing a baind aid over it.  Anyway all were lasered- Now every bup spot of thing I see make me think It is speading like crazy.

How could the stuff come back 6 months later-the only things going on were physical therapy and massage for a sore back- could I get it there?

and if it just pops back how do I tell if wvery little bump is a new one or not?  It is driving me crazy

Hello,
You should avoid touching the red spot and then other parts of the body because if the molluscum lesions have been treated by evisceration then it may cause spillage of the molluscum virus. Without treatment, this usually takes about 6 months to resolve and for the skin color to go back to its normal color.

If the symptoms persist then please get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
