Skin Irritations

I'm not exactly sure what to do anymore. For a while, since the middle of June probably, I've been having these dry, scaly patches all around my mouth. On my upper lip, the corners, and underneath. And I've just been getting them on my chest, and little ones on my neck. They're pretty bad. The ones on my face are the worst. I've been trying the: Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream, and it's been helping some, but it's not great. Because once it wears off, from either me sweating, or rubbing my face against something, my skin becomes dry again. And when I touch them, or put lotion, or face cleansers that help with dry skin, they burn, and get irritated. I REALLY need help, I don't know what to do anymore....

It can be due to seborrheic dermatitis. Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that causes flaky, dry, white to yellowish scales to form on oily areas esp under the nose or anywhere on face. People with seborrheic dermatitis produce too much sebum (the natural skin oil). Later, pityrosporum yeast grows excessively in the sebum, sometime along with bacteria, making the dermatitis more persistent.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Thankyou so much! That was sort of helpful. Well, I've been continuing to put on the Norwegian cream, and another normal lotion on my face everytime it starts to feel dry. It's mainly my neck now that itches the most. It's just red and splotchy, and itchy. More itchy than anything. I also put the cream there. The only problem is, is that I'm in a quince, and we've been practicing and I sweat, so all the lotion runs off. Which makes it not help anymore.
