Skin Split

I had a pain under neath my groin area, between the groin and thigh. It was red and I just assumed it was a bad stretch mark. Well just recently the skin split and it looks like a red tiny circle as if the skin had just disappeared. It hurts bad and has a cheese like smell around the area. I though it my just be jock itch but I've never had my skin split to the point of the skin actually disappearing. Any help would be nice?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms it looks like an abscess or an infection. Keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

I would go to the doctor and have it looked at ASAP. Especially if the skin looks like it's disappearing and smells bad, it could be an infection. Also syphillis chancers are circular sores. But have it checked out.
