Hello, I suffer from Karetosis Pilaris. I have it relativly bad on my legs. Also I have what I believe to be the same condition on my butt. Only difference was there are no bumps but discolered marks around hair follicules. The spots are all over. Is it possible its the same thing? And will it fade?

I posted another question after this one so after a Doctors visit it was diagnosed as foliculitus. It has resolved on its own sans the hyperpigmentation. Once again thank you for your resonse! When I asked this question I wasnt sure what I had going on. LOL

There is currently no known cure for keratosis pilaris, however, there are effective treatments available which make its symptoms less apparent. Treatment includes tretinoin or Triamcinolone cream or Adapalene, a retinoid medication. Exfoliation, intensive moisturizing creams, creams and lotions containing alpha hydroxy acids and urea may be used to temporarily improve the appearance and texture of affected skin.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
