Small, raised, red bump on Glans

I recently had unprotected sex with a female in a spa. A day or two later, I noticed a small, raised, red bump about 1-2 mm in diameter. It does not appear to be herpes, does not look to contain any fluid, but it is definitely raised. At times it looks as if it has a tiny red spot in the center, but when flaccid is not very noticeable. It does not itch, burn, nor do I have any other red spots showing up elsewhere. It is just unsightly.

Normally, I would go see my GP or my Dermatologist, but I just graduated college, and only have insurance that covers major medical emergencies.

Could it be HPV? A growth of some sort? A raised spot over strained blood vessels? Dermatitis?

Please help.

Sincerely,

Slightly Concerned in The Valley of the Sun

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,

Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but it can be folliculitis, contact dermatitis, rash due to friction rub with clothes, dermatitis, excessive sweating causing sweat dermatitis or balanitis(due to an underlying infection (bacterial and fungal as well as other organisms) .Even genital warts cannot be ruled out as it is spread through direct skin-to-skin contact during oral, genital, or anal sex with an infected partner.

You may try calamine lotion on the rash. You should also maintain hygiene and try to keep the area clean and dry, wear loose-fitting cotton clothing. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. You can also use a barrier cream with zinc oxide paste or a mild steroid cream like dermacort on the rash. If the bump is itchy, you  can take some antihistaminic like benadryl or Claritin.

If the bump persists then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.Genital warts have to be ruled out.
Hope it helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries. Kind regards.
