Small hole on forearm that won't heal?

For years now I have had this small hole on my arm that won't heal. I'm not sure when or how it formed but it won't leave. Well, perhaps not small. It looks like my arm got pricked with a sewing needle and there is a red dot from it. It is a hole in my arm. The issue is that it never really heals. All that happens is that it kind of gets a plug of dry skin in it. It doesn't scab and after I wash the dry skin easily comes out. The area around it also has a bit of dry skin, but other then that nothing else is out of the ordinary.

I just wan't to know why this is happening, or what it is.

It's unlikely to be much of anything but to make sure, set up an appointment with a dermatologist. There is basil and squamous cell cancer that you want to rule out. Again, very VERY doubtful but you want to make sure.  A lot of checking, touching, etc. can keep a sore alive. :>)  Try to leave it completely alone.
