They could be keratosis pilaris, a common skin condition usually found on the upper arms. The bumps usually aren't red, but can be.

It usually requires no treatment. There are a few treatments available (Lac Hydrin comes to mind), but they are usually of little to no benefit. The condition is not harmful, just a bit annoying.

Again, if they're problematic, you should have a dermatologist take a look at it.

Hi,

A differential here will be cherry angiomas, insect bites and folliculitis. With cherry angiomas, age seems to be a major factor. It usually involves adults above forty years of age.

"Cherry angiomas are made up of clusters of tiny capillaries at the surface of the skin, forming a small round dome ("papule"), which may be flat topped. They range in color from bright red to purple. When they first develop, they may be only a tenth of a millimeter in diameter and almost flat, but they usually grow to about one or two millimeters across, and sometimes to a centimeter or more in diameter. As they grow larger, they tend to expand in thickness, and may take on the raised and rounded shape of a dome."

I just have a few questions, how old are you?

Are these bumps painful or itchy?

Do they blanch when you press on them?
