Small white marks on my hands

I have noticed that I am developing small white marks on the tops of my hands - they almost look like small scars you would get from a scratch - they are not itchy but they seem to be multiplying.  what could they be?  some are round, some are like little lines.  thanks for your answer.

Debbie:

Sorry, but your description doesn't ring many bells.  Rashes like eczema or psoriasis don't leave the kind of spots you describe.  Neither does spontaneous loss of pigment (vitiligo).

Have you perhaps been picking or scratching at the area?

A visit to a dermatologist should clear this up for you, I think.

best.
