Sore hands

My palms are very raw and leather like, feels like they were burned. I also have numbness in my fingertips at times and they get cold. It hurts to touch anything cold or any kind of metal. I do have some blisters on the palms of my hands but they are not visable. This started in one hand and it was just dry skin that would peel, but now its in both hands and very painfull, the only thing that takes the pain away is if I soak in seasalt water. Do you have any idea as to what this may be? Please

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms the possibility of pompholyx needs to be ruled out. Pompholyx is also called dyshidrotic eczema. It is characterized by a sudden onset of many deep-seated pruritic, clear vesicles which itch and then peel off. As a result the skin may also fissure.

If the blisters are very painful then herpetic whitlow needs to be ruled out. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
