Splotchy nose...won't go away

I get pimples every now and then, but i know that the reaction on my nose isn't a pimple.  I had a whitehead that wouldn't disappear so i tried to pop it and my nose turned red.  After that i picked very slightly at 2 other small spots that weren't really anything and so my nose had some tiny red spots.  I proceeded to put on makeup.  Later i noticed the spots had spread to being a splotchy red across my nose.  I wasn't sure why but continued to put on makeup.

My theories were that maybe sleeping with my face in the pillow caused it, but now think it could be i used old makeup.  I stopped putting on makeup once i concluded that newer makeup seemed to cause a reaction too.  It seemed to be better this afternoon after my shower it turned a deeper more noticeable red.

I can't figure out what's wrong.  Is it broken blood vessels, or should I just hope it goes away.  It's been a little over a week.   I also got paranoid it's rosacea, but I've never had skin problems so its hard to believe that.

I'm desperate for advice!
Thanks

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It looks like dermatitis skin to me. The treatments of this condition are application of topical corticosteroids which will reduce the inflammatory process. Topical immunomodulators like pimecrolimus and tacrolimus can be used in severe conditions but should be used under a dermatologist’s guidance. Wash the area with a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Then apply a good hypoallergenic moisturizer over the area and see if this improves. Also wear cotton clothes. If the symptoms still persist then you can consult a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. Treatment can be started only when the diagnosis is confirmed. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

What you're experiencing could easily be two to three different skin conditions. The red blotches do sound more like rosacea or a sun burn. The other acne like conditions could be just that - clogged pores. Make sure you use mild facial cleansers morning and night, and apply makeup with clean fingers or clean applicators. It's suggested applicators should be cleaned at least once a week, and pillow cases changed at least once a week. So much bacteria can be deposited on these items and then redeposited back to your pores. I hope you find relief soon.
