Spreading red rash on Penis

Hi there,

About two week ago I developed 1 small shiny red rash on my penis after sexual intercourse.  It had grown larger after a week and I visited my doctor which said it was just a minor irritation and did not think it was an STD One week later it has spread to several spots (the larger one on the shaft and the spreading rash on the head) and has gotten larger? What is this? do I need to revisit the doctor or is there some over the counter meds I can pick up.  Thanks very much for your help

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms, it can be dermatitis skin, eczema, seborrheic dermatitis or psoriasis. Psoriasis is a non-contagious disorder which affects the skin and joints. It commonly causes red scaly patches to appear on the skin.

To confirm the diagnosis please get it evaluated from a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
