Tender skin - sore to the touch

Hi -

I am hoping that someone might have some feedback on an issue I have been experiencing over the last year with various areas of skin.  It started with my legs and back but now has moved to my face.  Basically, for about 24 - 48 hours, an area of skin (generally from the size of a softball to basketball) will become extremely tender and sore to the touch ... almost as if it were bruised significantly.  It is so tender that clothes brushing against it is painful.  The problem is, there is no visual evidence of it.  I went to the doctor and felt as though he was insinuating that I was making up the symptoms because he could not see anything.   Very, very frustrating.  Again, just wondering if anyone here has ever experienced anything similar.  At the moment, the skin on my entire face aches and it is difficult to even take a shower.  If it follows my past episodes, it will fade within a day or two so it is not too much of a problem but it would definitely be nice to get a better understanding of what is happening inside my body and if there is anything I can do to prevent/relieve it.

I thank you in advance for your time and help.

Regards,
Stef

WOW.  I didn't realize how common this was.  Mine just started yesterday for the first time ever.  It is about a 3-4 inch streak on my shin.  Not red or bruised, but the bed sheets touching it puts me through the roof.  I had a non-itchy rash last week, went to doc and then used hydrocortisone cream for a few days.  Then this started.  ?????

I suspect some have so.Ethiopia v different go I g on but wonder if some may have RA starting, the pain with This  tends to move around d the body.  Burning  knuckles when you tuck shirt into waistband, brushing against fabric or other items could be indicative of arthritis. I've not researched it but perhaps yo might want to.

Wow, I can not believe how many people have this issue. I thought I was the only one who experienced this problem. I would love some information on this problem. It is very uncomfortable and annoying. My fiance can barley lay his hand on my back without it hurting or me having a shirt on hurts so bad!

This is my first time with this pain. I first developed back pain awhile ago. I have been sleeping on a hard mattress(not my bed) for awhile. But then I noticed 2 nights ago a soreness to my back(skin) for the last several days(3) and now it is spread to my stomache & crotch area. I'm confused. I also developed on my right leg above the knee to the thigh. I have never experienced this before. I wonder is this related to my back pain it has been a problem for past year but gotten worse in last few weeks. When I was young I had a pinched nerve & that was painful. I'm now in my forties. I'm thinking of seeing my doctor this week. Any advice I would truly appreciate. Pain is like a soreness, prickly feeling. When sitting for a long time & I get up it feels more painful. Thanks.
