Tiny growing rash of small white bumps that numb and burn.

Hi.. I am not really sure what this is. It started with just a few in the top corrner of my left lip and have grown and spread to almost the middle of my lip on that side and have suddenly started another whole formation on the other side, on my top inside right lip!! They are slightly deforming my inner upper lip to the sight and are CONSTANTLY burning and/or numbing. As you can see in the pictures they are not horribly obvious unless you look closely, but I feel them burning and numbing ALL the time. There are none of these formations anywhere on my bottom lip.

(THIS ONE DOES NOT LET ME UPLOAD A PIC, BUT IF BELOW DOESN'T WORK, i HAVE A PIC OF THIS ISSUE IN THE MEDHELP DERMATOLOGICAL FORUM WITH THE SAME QUESTION TITLE AND SAME INTERNAL QUESTION TEXT)

I have done some research and found that they resemble what is called Fordycia Granuals, but on every post and site I can find on this, they have no buring/numbing associated with them. They are just static, dorman and completely non irritating.

I was invloved in a party lifestyle for a few years and smoked after some people I didn't know, which invloved putting my lips on paraphernalia after others and in direct contact with whatever they may have had. But I don't know if this is related. I know the feelings I am having are associated with herpes, but they do not come and go as sores would. I would not worry so much if they were not so aggitated and growing so fast. My fear is that soon they will take over my whole lip if they continue to spread at the current pace.

PLEASE HELP!!

The picture looks nothing like herpes.  It doesn't even look like Fordyce spots (oil glands).  I can only speculate that you are licking or rubbing your lip out of anxiety that you picked something up, and that you feel numb and burning for the same reason.  Please see a doctor in person,so you can confirm my assessment.  But again, what you describe sounds nothing like an STD or infection.

Thank you.
