Tiny red pin dots surrounding one itchy bump...

This has been driving me crazy trying to figure out if I'm having an allergic reaction to something or if it is a sign of an underlying health issue..today this popped up after having lunch. After I finished eating I scratched at my forearm and felt a bump, like a mosquito bite, then all around it I noticed little red pin dots almost like burst blood vessels. They do not have any symptoms other than visual, and of course the one itchy bump. Are there any experts who think they might know what may be causing this?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It looks like an insect bite. Use a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Also use cotton clothes and change the clothes twice if there is any increased sweating. Try keeping the skin free of sweat as far as possible. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like dermacort. If there is any itching antihistaminics like Benadryl or Claritin can be taken.
If the symptoms persist then get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Also, the scratch was not hard enough to rupture any vessels, I had only just scratched at the bump before I noticed the tiny red specs...
