Tiny white spots on my back and stomach. NOT SUNSPOTS !

I GOT THESE TINY WHITE SPOTS ON MY BACK AND STOMACH FOR OVER A YEAR. I HAD LOOK UP ON THE NET, HOPE TO FIND SOME INFORMATION ABOUT IT AND ALL THEY SAY THAT IT'S FROM THE SUN, FROM TANNING AND BLAH BLAH.

HOWEVER, I AM SURE THAT THEY'RE NOT FROM THE SUN BECAUSE I DIDN'T GO TO THE BEACH MORE THAN ONCE IN THE SUMMER, AND I NEVER TAN. I WENT TO MY DOCTOR AND HE GAVE ME SOME KIND OF MEDICINE THAT WAS LIKE LOTION. HE TOLD ME TO APPLY IT ON MY BACK AND TUMMY 30MIN. BEFORE SHOWER FOR THE NEXT 7 DAYS. I FOLLOWED HIS INSTRUCTION FOR A MONTH. BUT NOTHING CHANGED.
THESE WHITE SPOTS HAD SPREAD FROM BACK TO TUMMY BUT THEY HAD STOP, THEY'RE NOT ITCHY, NO HURT, NOTHING.

PLEASE SAVE MY SKIN.... SUMMER IS COMING. :(

THANK YOU,

REGARD.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms it can be due to pityriasis versicolor. Pityriasis versicolor (Tinea veriscolor) is a fungal infection caused by commensal yeasts in hot and humid conditions. They may be reddish brown, slightly scaly patches or ugly, depigmented areas that will not tan, especially in suntanned skin.

Treatment involves topical and oral antifungal medicines.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
