Tip of tongue irritated, lips on inside of mouth irritated. No visible bumps or lumps

On the inside of my mouth, my lips feel shriveled and the end of my tongue feels irritated as well.  Have discontinued mouthwash and switched toothpaste.  Used Avon's lip plumping lipstick and when not using that, used Bert's Bees lip balm.  Stopped using both.  Feel like my lips are tingling, like they might be swelling.  Sound like anything common, or do I need to see my physician.  What to do???????

I wanted to add some input incase somebody finds this.. I had these symptoms as described and the awesome doctor at the clinic ordered some tests.. turns out I am grossly irondeficient and B12 deficient which can cause metallic taste which I also was having along with the wrinkled lip. Bacterial and fungal swabs came back negative (also normal wbc so no infection)

I have the same problems as otifannyo.  It began 5 days ago just after eating strawberries at a Conference meal.  I suspect an additive that I'm allergic to, although I have no known food allergies.  But after 5 days, the lips are still swelling, mouth and tongue very sensitive and not tolerating salty or spicy food at all.  waaa!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

This does not sound common .If this has been associated with any use of certain products do stop using them immediately. Has this been going on for a while or has this only occured when you started using certain products? This will help define if the condition may due to an allergic reaction.

See your internist for a complete medical history and physical examination.

Keep us posted for anything.
