Unhealthy looking lips

I've had unhealthy looking lips for ages, looks like small blisters on them, they're discolored; reddish purple in patches, sortof looks like they're burnt all the time.. I've been wearing lip balm all the time for the last 6 months and it hasn't helped the situation..

Hi,
Did it develop suddenly or over a period of time?
If you smoke i would suggest you to quit and get your blood hemoglobin done.

Hi,
You need to use a moisturising cream or lip balm with a sunscreen. Sun exposure could cause lip discoloration. Drink planty of water to avoid dehydration. Also avoid alcohol and smoking as smoking causes lip discoloration too. Also keep your lips well moisturised at all times. Apply vaseline jelly before sleeping at night. Maintain a healthy diet plan with lots of fruits and vegetables. Take some multi vitamins and mineral supplements. If the symptoms are still persistent consult a dermatologist.

The best lip treatment i can recommend is Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream-expensive but worth it. However, 6 months is a long time and i think you should see your doctor for diagnosis and treatment. Loiloi x
