Herpes?

I am a male and have been seeing another for many months.  After discussion, health history, and past experiences, we decided to proceed unprotected (I know...not good).  We have engaged in anal and oral sex.  About two weeks after our last contact (which was oral--he received), he contacted me that he has a rash on his foreskin.  He has not described anything, other than it could resemble Balantis.  I have never had any symptoms of anything (until I remembered)....  If I shave with a dull razor, and try to shave up first, then down, I often times get a series of miniscule blisters under my lip.  If I shave them again, they weep, dry, crust, and heal.  A dull razor always results in the same thing and it is my sign to get a new razor.  Regardless, they burn and it feels irritated until they go away.  When I shave, some of them bleed a little instead of weeping.  It is also much worse when I am out in the sun.  I know that you need to see and test to give an exact answer, but it is a few days before my friend is going to the doctor and will be awhile longer before I can visit a doctor.  Based on my results, does it sound like HSV1 or more like contact dermatitis or razor burn?

I appreciate your responses.  I really do think it is razor burn.  The blisters arrived yesterday, and are already gone today.  I believe that effects of HSV would have lasted longer than one day.

Sounds more like from a shaving irritation since its below your lip. Your friend most likely got a fungal from anal sex unprotected. Alot of bacteria in the anal area esp ecoli which could also cause  UTI. You should always use protection with anal as UTI,s can be very uncomfortable and could make a couple of trips to the doctor to get rid of them.

I had no symptoms when I performed oral sex.  I got the raw spot with tiny blisters scattered below my lip after I shaved on Friday.  It was two weeks ago since I was with him.

well, here is something to think about... how long after you had the bumps around your mouth did u perform oral. did u have a cold sore or just a bump from shaving? anytime you have an open sore around your mouth you want to stay away from oral sex for about 1-2 weeks
