Unseen bugs crawling on me

Would be appreciative for any advise you can give me about this.

Single male, live in L.A.  At times it feels like bugs are crawling or flittering on me.  Infrequently there is a what might be a (tiny) bite.  There is virtually no scratching.  Mostly on my feet, ankles, sometimes on chest and arms.  Very little on head, a little more but not a lot in groin area.  I have a 8x magnifier and a 50X-100X magnifier ($9 at Radio Shack and it really works) and I have never been able to see anything.  With these magnifiers I

I have a sililar problem.  I do not do meth.  I am starting to loose it with this feeling of bugs crawling all over me.  Head to toe.  Even on an eyelash.  This has to be some kind of microscopic bug.  Dr gave me script for antihistamines.  Not working.  No visible bugs.  No bite marks.  I feel like a blinking christmas tree.  AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I already posted my comment on the one that said they feel like they are infested with bugs.  Scroll around until you find it and look for my name (feeling stupid) and read it.  Please take the advice I gave.  If you have been to a doctor and they said nothing is there. If you have been awake for long periods of time and then get a few hours of sleep and go back into the staying up pattern then you need to do exactly what I said. You need to get alot of sleep. Get some medicine that will help you sleep if you cant sleep on your own.  If you are smoking ice coke whatever or if you are just being kept awake picking at the itch then that is the problem. That is why you feel this way. If the doc said nothing is there and you dont see anything (even if you do see it) but the (doc) said nothing is there, then nothing is there.  Please, I beg you to take my advice and go to sleep. You are fooling with your mental health staying up 24 hours at a time. I did it. Spent $5000 on exterminators, vets, docs, derm, 1 emergency room visit. Creams ordered off of scabie internet sites and animal shampoos. (I forgot to put that on the other comment.)Please, Look for my nickname while scrolling on the dermatology section and read the comment. Please do what I said. Get the very much needed sleep. Please believe me.  It will stop.  Nothing is there.  I am so humiliated.  I thank god I listened to my dermatologist and stopped the maddness and got hold of myself. All I needed was sleep. My god, I cant believe what I was doing to myself. Dont let it happen to  you. Dont wait until someone calls the mental hospital on you, or you lose everything you have. I also threw away alot of things that I wish I still had. So stupid. All because I thought it was fun that I didnt need alot of sleep. I liked cleaning up and doing things in the middle of the night. I also had to be awake in the daytime too to take care of regular things. So stupid.  It's so important to get normal sleep. Please look for my comment a few below this one. Good luck, god bless, and if  you havnt been getting enough sleep. GET YOUR BUTT TO BED!!!!!!!! NOW!!!

While researching about Keratosis Pilaris (skin condition commonly referred to as "Chicken Skin"), apparently a bit of research has been done to suggest that one cause of Keratosis Pilaris is a parasite that lives underneath the surface of the skin.. something along those lines. I can't remember exactly where I found this information, but i believe it was on the wikipedia entry for "Keratosis Pilaris". It went on to mention that some sufferers of KP may feel a sensation like something has moved across them or nipped at them. I know I myself get this feeling on my thighs and arms.. and ironically enough, that is where MY KP is the worst. I believe it was said that this feeling is caused by a larger proportion of parasitic mites moving between hair follicles or underneath the skin tissue.. Anyways, do a bit of looking around and I'm sure you'll find what I'm talking about.

Hope that gives you a new sense of direction.

let me just clear this up for you!!!!  Being that Im sitting in the floor of my livingroom with my cousin behind me pulling the toxins out of my back! Your trouble love is the METH..Meth Mites to be exact! Completely real in fact however, not a true bug...they do look mean when you get them out and have a good look..microscope also!! They hurt worse on your lower legs but the back is a very nice spot for them to come out of! Once you get one out and have a good look you will see what im talking about. Your not getting bit...you are feeling the ***** of them bursting through your skin! I would say that they seem worse when I have been up for a few days..on the 3rd day without sleep im a walking BITE! I swore that I had some sort of mean *** bug attacking me... until i had completly diagnosed myself with every paracite in the free world.. If you are not a meth user then you could possible have a new very confusing critter..mong something or other.. do a search online.. Do you have red or blue fibers coming out of your skin???? Originated in California.. Research...Research.. you will find it.. ALSO.. I washed and cleaned like a fool also!!!!!!!!

Good Luck!!!

I do not think that bugs are a likely possibility at all.  Skin itch often feels like bugs crawling on the skin, especially if you start to think they're bugs.  Obviously, that fits your situation.  I think you need to stop looking and spraying at once, and get a definitive opinion from a dermatologist.  Even if stress didn't start this process, thinking about bugs all the time is causing its own stress and perpetuating it.  Please do not spend any more time trying to diagnose this on the internet--you will just make matters worse.  Get yourself examined in person, and when you find out that you don;t have bugs--as I think you will--then forget about it and move on.

Good luck.

Are you a Meth user? Meth users get bumps on their skin which appear as bug bites because the meth toxins are being released through the skin.
