What can cause chills and widespread rash?

I began having the chills and noticed small, very itchy bumps appear on my skin approximately 6 months ago. The first was on the right side of my abdomen and another on my right forearm. Since that time, the rash has spread across my stomach, up my chest, down my arms and hands including my arm pits, down my legs to my toes, my genitals and my back. The only place is has not appeared so far is my face. I have been to my primary physician, a dermatologist, infectious disease specialist and am now being sent to an allergist. All with no diagnosis other than a rash. I have had blood work multiple times, an ultrasound of my neck to check lymph nodes, been checked for mono, blood sugar, thyroid, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.

I would greatly appreciate any recommendations or anyone sharing their experiences if you’ve had a similar issue.

Sounds like you are doing all the right things to figure this one out- unfortunately, medical conditions can sometimes take some determination to figure out the cause.  With all the testing you have had done so far, an allergist seems like the next logical step.  Since you are heading to an allergist- I'd recommend keeping a journal- note the condition of the rash each day, what you eat, your stress level, what types of things you do and are around- this type of information can also help you piece together if there are any triggers.  Keep us updated on how you are doing!
