Where is scaling located?
Scaling may be a sign of xeroses or skin dryness. This is usually caused by irritant dermatitis, prolonged water or heat exposure, certain medications, and underlying disease disorders.
I would suggest that you have these scales analyzed .A KOH examination may help ascertain if a fungal infection is present. Apply a generous layer of Vitamin E to moisturize the skin. You may opt for other moisturizers like shea or cocoa butter. Avoid prolonged exposure to water and also avoid using soaps and lotions that make the skin dry.
