What is the bump by my anus?

Okay, it’s been about 2-3 days since I’ve at least noticed this bump by my anus. At first I thought I was just chaffing, but then when I was wiping my butt, I felt a bump so I went to look. It’s pretty hard and looks like it’s filled with pus. I’m really scared about what it is. I’m only 17 and I don’t know how to tell my parents and I really don’t want to go to the doctor. If there is anything I can do at home that would be ideal. I’m really scared. I just want it gone. I haven’t had a fever or constipation or any other changes, just the pics filled site bump. Please help

That is a very common place for a cyst to occur- it's called a pilonidal cyst.  For this type of cyst, you will need to get to the doctor for treatment- they should clean it out and you may need an antibiotic, not to make you nervous- but on rare occasion it may need surgery.  It's very important you have a doctor take a look at this and don't just let it go.  It's an infection and if treated properly will be fine, but don't ignore it.   Make sure to keep yourself very clean as well, that will help prevent future issues and make sure the one you have doesn't get to be a further issue.

Sounds like a simple cyst, if it’s not sore, no worries really. Just do not squeeze it or it will become inflamed and hurt. It might go away, it might not.
